“Ezekiel 20:12 Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.”

You have heard it before that we are in the last days. You have seen the news of various religious sects that believed the Lord was coming or the end of the world was near and went off to a remote area to wait for the end. But of all the times that people have said these things I believed they lacked some fundamental clues that the bible gives to tell us where we are on God’s calendar.
I am not going to tell you that I "know" when Yeshua is returning, nor am I going to claim to have a prophecy or that I am a prophet. Unlike other studies and articles I have written, this one does dip into the future a bit and deals with the End of Days. This study is going to deal with the known to help make some sense of what is yet to come. This study is not meant to be prophetical or foretelling, just a presentation of interesting facts and scriptures- you can make up your own mind about what is presented here.
You can search all over the history books and the Internet to see that Christmas is nothing more than a mishmash of pagan festival and church theology mixed together to either bring the pagans into church or keep the church from being persecuted. I am not going to detail the various origins and history of Christmas here- there are plenty of good sources “out there”. Though I will mention there is a great section about Christmas in “The Two Babylons” by Alexander Hislop.
The Passover story has been told by many Hebrews and Gentiles for thousands of years; though the emphasis has always been about the great Exodus from Egypt. There is more to Passover than just the Israelites coming out from Egypt. The story is not about the nation of Israel, but it is a universal story that should be told in every church, synagogue, and temple. The story should concern all of us- every religion, denomination, and people.
In English:
Blessed are you, LORD, our God, King of the universe, who brings forth bread from the earth.
Transliterated Hebrew:
Barukh ata Adonai Eloheinu melekh ha-olam, ha-motzi lehem min ha-aretz.
Turning the other cheek is neither biblical nor practical. King David never turned his cheek and he was called the “Beloved”. Shimshon (Samson) was the strongest man in all the land and he used that strength to fight, destroy, and kill while the spirit of the Lord was upon him. Avram (Abram) who was considered a friend of God went to war with enemy kings to take back Lot and his property who had been captured.
Claudette writes:
This past Saturday at the service I heard you mention that Yeshua was the creator. Would you please show me where you find this in the scriptures?
Rabbi Isaac Levy responds:
Shalom.
There are many places throughout the scriptures that point out that creation is a joint venture between father and son, much like building a family requires two, a man and a woman.
In John 1:1-18 It gives a little summation of Yeshua in his joint venture of creation with his father.
